COVID-19 (Coronavirus) may impact your pilgrimage plans. You’ll find the latest advice here.

Assalamu’Allaykum

Brothers and sisters hope you are all in the best of health Insha’Allah, a lot of Hujjaj have been in contact asking for an update for hajj 2020 with the current epidemic which is affecting the whole world.

As you are all aware the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has put a temporary ban on Umrah since the 26th February due to COVID 19. They have taken this security measure in order to slow down the spread of the virus, as Makkah & Medina are visited by Hujjaj from all across the world, the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah took the decision to close  the 2 Masjids in order to try and prepare the Kingdom for the upcoming seasons Ramadaan & Hajj.

We have been in close contact with official of the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah and official on the ground in  both Makkah & Medina. They have advised us that the Ministry is working very hard to find solutions to try minimize the spread during busy periods. In Ramadan they have announced that Itikaaf during the last 10 days of Ramadaan will not take place in the Masjids, as well as Iftaar in order to minimize the spread.

In regard to Hajj 2020 the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah have advised us to carry on as normal for hajj they have no intention to close or ban pilgrims from going to Hajj, so we are advising Hujjaj not to worry and Insha’Allah. Allah swt will accept our efforts and our Labbayk and allow us to perform our Hajj with ease Insha’Allah.

Allah forbid that hajj does not take place this year, we request all Hujjaj not to worry. During the temporary ban in Umrah. All Hujjaj that did have bookings for umrah but were unable to go they have been refunded by airlines according to their policies. Hotels have also started the refunds procedure, as you know there are thousands of hotels in Makkah and Medina so it did take a little more time but as far as we are aware refunds have been given.

The biggest difference during Umrah & Hajj is that during Umrah we deal directly with the hotels, where as in Hajj we Liaise directly with Ministry of Hajj all details of our packages & payments are sent to the Ministry only once accepted and authorised are we granted the Visa. To sum up the Hajj is very well monitored and organised which is very important when handling over 4 million Hujjaj.

We request Hujjaj not to worry.  All payments which have been made to us are safe and we will advise you if there are any updates from the Ministry, if there is a ban we are protected By Atol & Iata we are also authorised Hajj & Umrah agents. We request all Hujjaj to remember us and the rest of the Ummah in there Duas, May Allah swt grant everyone Shifa and keep our health and Imaan strong.

Aameen
